Did you have a dream of being destined for big things when you were little?
Did you have big aspirations, but somehow life got in the way and as time went by, the dreams faded, and the reality of a normal life took hold? The corporate job, the children and family, financial struggle, dealing with ageing parents, getting to a certain age and thinking “is this as good as it gets?”
I understand because I found myself at a crossroads in my life in 2015, with the harsh realisation that my marriage had ended and I was facing the prospect of life as a single mother, I had to look deep within and get clear on what I truly wanted.
I got clear on my vision and I set to work.
What I hadn’t realised that the seeds of my Big Vision had been planted many years before.
I was blessed with parents who believed in me, my mum told me that I was born in the year of the Fire Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac and what an auspicious sign that was, she told me I was destined for great things. My dad wrote these words – “I can and I will” and put it in a frame for me on my bedroom wall. I woke up seeing this affirmation every morning. Having a positive state of mind was definitely something I grew up with.
At the age of 14 I embarked on a modelling career which lasted six years, I was on magazine covers, walked the runway at London Fashion week, I was on TV commercials and danced in many music videos including Take That, Boyzone and Joe Cocker. It was an exciting time and I got a taste for celebrity living. Whilst I was living the dream, there was the painful reality of day to day rejection at castings, being judged on my looks alone and the loneliness of what was in reality a very shallow industry.
Determined to prove I was more than a pretty face, I went to University to study Journalism. When I graduated, I had aspirations of becoming a television presenter and I got my first job at the BBC as a junior researcher. I was impatient and frustrated with the low pay and long hours so I sidestepped into the corporate world and spent the next 10 years in recruitment, sales, headhunting and corporate account management.

It was also during this time that I married my childhood sweetheart and gave birth to my two children, Ben and Bonnie.
When I was pregnant with my first baby, I discovered a book called The Gentle Birth Method, and was introduced to yoga and visualisation. It was during this time that my spiritual awakening began without me realising. I wrote out my birth plan and did a daily visualisation for the perfect birth experience. I got exactly that, two wonderful gentle and peaceful births.

It was shortly after the birth of my second child Bonnie, that I was attuned as a Reiki healer and I qualified as a reflexologist and fully immersed myself into the world of spirituality and personal development.
I was also at a cross roads in my life. I was still working full time in my corporate career, but I also wanted to stay at home and be with my children. I wanted to be the one to take them to school. I wanted to leave my corporate job and start my own business. This was back in 2009. This was the year I read The Secret and first heard about The Law of Attraction and the art of manifesting.
I put it to the test straight away. In 2009 my Big Vision was to quit my corporate career and to start my own business, so I put a request to the Universe. “Dear Universe, I am happy open and willing for £20,000 to come into my life, from any source so that I can leave my job and start my own business” is what I wrote down on a piece of paper.
At that time, the only way I could see that amount of money coming into my life was by appearing on a game show!! On my daily drive to work, I drove past the TV studios where Who Wants to be a Millionaire was filmed, and as I did so, I visualised being in the hot seat. To cut a long story short, I got in the hot seat and I won £20,000, the exact amount I had asked the Universe for.
That same year, I also won a trip to Italy, I manifested the school I wanted for my son and I was totally sold on the Law of Attraction.
I used my winnings to start my therapy business. After my positive birth experiences, I wanted to help women on their pregnancy journey, from conception to birth and I began a thriving business. A couple of years later, I also trained as an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner.
All the while my fascination in the Law of Attraction and personal development grew and I started to hold small vision board workshops.
These workshops grew and I started to combine EFT, or Tapping as it is commonly known with Vision Boards. These workshops became very popular and I was getting recognition as an expert on Vision Boards and was even featured in The Daily Mail.
In 2015 I faced another crossroads in my life, my marriage had sadly come to an end and I was faced with the harsh reality of life as single parent. Whilst my business was successful, my income wasn’t steady and the prospect of raising two children and facing the bills on my own was daunting. I had two options, go back to the corporate world or get super clear on what I really wanted and commit to my vision.
So that’s what I did. I committed to my vision.

On New Year’s eve 2014, I connected with my Big Vision – I wanted my business to grow, so I set the intention to expand my business globally.
In April 2015 a live streaming app called Periscope came along and I was hooked. I broadcast daily “tapping” scopes and started talking about the law of attraction, manifesting and other topics around personal development. I grew a large following and by the end of 2015 I was doing EFT sessions via skype and I had clients globally.
However by mid 2016, even though my client base had grown globally, I was still trading time for money. Once again I had to re-commit to my Big Vision. I launched my first online programme, Tapping Into Abundance and the following year, I took my popular Vision Board workshop online and Tapping Into Your Big Vision was born.
In May 2018 I launched Big Vision TV and this felt like a full circle moment. 20 years earlier, my Big Vision was to have my own talk show. Over 30 guests later – I am loving introducing inspirational people from all walks of life to my audience.
I hope my journey has inspired you to start moving towards your Big Vision and I would love to help.
