I have had lots of people ask me if it’s possible to manifest winning the lottery? My answer – YES! Of course it is, after all there are people who win the lottery week after week all over the world, so why not you?
HOWEVER, my more in-depth answer is then for you to get super clear on what you would actually do with a lottery win?
What would the money enable you to do?
Then break it down – what does that ideal life look like?
Now that really is something worth manifesting and that is where the focus should be. Creating a life you love is actually way more believable than winning the lottery and this is the core of what I teach.
As it so happens, I have a pretty good track record of winning things.
- £20,000 on Who Wants to Be A Millionaire in 2009
- A week long yoga retreat to Italy
- And an all expenses paid trip to Disneyland Florida are the biggies that spring to mind.

If I had to sum up the formula of what I did to win the contests, I could condense it down to the following steps:
1. Desire – you have to really want the thing you want
2. Set a clear intention
3. Visualise a clear image in your mind of the desired outcomes
4. Believe in this vision
5. Take action
So you may be wondering, “Mel, have you won the lottery using this formula?”
No, I haven’t. Here’s the thing. I have several vision boards outlining the goals and dreams I have for the future including the tropical home where one day I’ll be hosting private masterminds, I also have bucket list destinations and many things I wish to experience, however, I am ready for these to unfold at the perfect time.
My children and I have a vision for a dream home complete with home cinema, dance studio (my daughter) and a garden big enough to have a full size football goal (my son).
I know that I will love the sense of achievement I will get from ticking these things off one by one, just as I have with my vision boards of the past.
In Napoleon Hill’s classic book Think and Grow Rich, he states;
“Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire”
Start by asking yourself that very question – what are you going to exchange with the Universe for the money you desire?
“You reap what you sow” is a proverb that goes back thousands of years and has its origins in the Bible, or as Elon Musk put in more modern day terms:
“You get paid in direct proportion to the difficulty of problems you solve”
This is the path I personally prefer to take on the way to achieving the goals on my Vision board, and this is the path I encourage you to take too.
When you find your purpose, it gets you leaping out of bed in the morning and as cheesy as this sounds – that really is more valuable than a lottery win.
Having a strong money mindset is also essential in order to cope with a lottery win – there are countless stories of lottery winners who within a few years have lost it all again (reportedly almost 70%) Why is that?
They weren’t ready for such a huge change in their lives, it’s as simple as that.

- How much money do you want? Instead of saying £10M, break it down into a monthly figure, perhaps it’s £50K per month or maybe a more modest £5k per month to begin with.
- What does the vision for your life look like earning £5K or £50K per month? List this out in detail.
- What exactly will you give in return for the money that you desire?
